FUCK YEAH SPORTS BORN 25 SEPTEMBER 09

All that we're trying to bring you is some current and relative information to what's going on in sports without all the fluff. This isn't ESPN. This is a group of guys just talking sports.

My my, it certainly took long enough for the “resurgent” & MVP form Favre talk to die down. Retire already old man, we’re tired of your shit.

Rock Bottom!

With three straight losses and Eli back to that dopey old look on his face, it is time to worry in NY. The Giants got manhandled by the Philadelphia Eagles as they lost 40 - 17. While this loss definitely does sting for G-men fans as it comes against the hated Eagles from up the turnpike, what stings even more, is that the Eagles did it without the services of Brian Westbrook. Where is the bye weekend when you need it?

Favre Rocks Lambeau

Brett Favre’s return to Green Bay on Sunday may have been one of the most anticipated and talked about games in NFL History. The man he basically made the packers a household name, came back to Green Bay….only this time he was in the hated Viking purple white and gold. Favre and Aaron Rodgers once again put on very good performances, but the Vikings were ultimately too much for the Packers as they beat them 38 -26 behind 4 touchdown passes from Favre.

Retribution

Retribution is defined as  : the dispensing or receiving of reward or punishment especially in the hereafter. Well if that is how it is defined, then Vince Young certainly got that on Sunday with the Titans win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the Titans picked up their first win of the season, it was Young who seemed to be the most happy. Not only was he on the field doing what he does best, but he did it against the team that essentially got him benched in the first game. Welcome Back Vince Young.

Imperfect

The Pittsburgh Steelers ended the Minnesota Vikings’ perfect record by beating them 27-17. Vikings’ quarterback Brett Favre finished 34 of 51 for 334 yards, while Roethlisberger finished 14 of 26 for 175 yards.

Still unbeaten

The New Orleans Saints made an amazing comeback, winning 46-34 over the Miami Dolphins, after being down 24-3. Even though Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees threw three interceptions and was sacked five times, the Saints scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to remain undefeated (6-0).
